Instead of showing you a project using border punches, I wanted to share with you a project using my individual punches that I have had FOR-EVER!  I love that I can use them to create my own borders!

You can see that I have used my basic star and circle punches as well as my small square punch to create some fun border effects!  You don't need to have any fancy border punches to create some borders of your own!

Be sure to leave me a comment before hopping along to the fabulous blog of Petra Offrell!  And the letter you need from me is "I".

Have fun!

Who would have thought that migraines were contagious? Okay, so they probably aren't, but at my house, I'm just not sure.  Jordan came home on Monday with one and then I had one yesterday.  Keep in mind, that I take medication that has a wonderful side effect of keeping my migraines at bay and I haven't had one in almost 4 years!  So thankfully, yesterday's wasn't a "kick everyone out of the house, crawl in bed, pull the covers, drug myself and sleep for 5 hours" kind of migraine.  Just had to move very slowly, not do anything too detailed, keep the sun out of my eyes, and just basically mellow out.  Actually, turned out to be a very relaxing day all around.  Funny how the Lord has a way of slowing us all down when we need it!

I had wanted to tell everyone about something exciting that happened on Monday, but just couldn't get myself to the computer for anything!  But, I'm here today and I want to share!  On Monday, I was the guest Blogger over on the Bella Blvd Blog!  It was such an honor to get to work with their fun new releases and I'm forever thankful to Stephanie for the chance!

Here are my designs - everything was created using a fun sketch from my buddy Lucy Chesna of My Sketech World!

Using the sketch as designed:

Laundry Sheet Flowers - Tutorial!

I am always on the lookout for things that I can recycle in my scrapbooking.  We switched laundry soap last week and began to use an all in one soap & laundry sheet.  These go in the washing machine with the clothes and then directly into the dryer with them too.  They serve double duty.

When I pulled them out of the dryer, I knew instantly that they would serve triple duty!  They are nice and thick and the perfect absorbing material for misting!

The first thing I did was pull out my misting box and lay a couple of them flat on the bottom.  Using my mists, I saturated them in various colors:

I dried these with my heat gun (because I am a very impatient scrapper!).  Remember to keep your gun at a safe distance as the intense heat will start to melt the sheet.

Then I ran them through my Cuttlebug and made these:

I ended up using the back sides of the flowers for my design --- just really liked the variegated look of the back.  I paired them with some fun Scrappin' Sports & More papers and ended up with this pretty layout of Ms. Sophie!

Supplies Used:

Renewed love...

...for my camera lately.  I've been in a photo funk since January - literally only taking a handful of good photos in months.  I think the weather just had me in a funk and pictures are so much better now that the sun is out and the sky is bright!  I have literally taken over 500 pictures in the last 24 hours....I know, a little overboard, but I have a renewed love for my Canon.  So, I thought I'd share!

Cooper took advantage of the sunshine yesterday and went rock diving in the creek:

Then we went to Austin's baseball game - it was the first game he has played in since his injury in February and it was so nice to see him back out there in his element.  You should have seen the smile on his face when coach said, "Holmes, you got the hill" ---- such a sweet moment for him.  He didn't miss a beat either --- he pitched three complete innings, only faced 10 batters.  He retired 9 hitters and one ended up on base courtesy of an infield error.  He struck out 4 batters and walked no one.  It was a solid performance for his first time back out there.  He did great at the plate too --- he was 2 for 3, one fielder's choice and one hit by pitch --- on base all 4 times at bat.

I can't wait to see what the rest of the season holds for him - he's going to train with the Varsity team this week as normal but play with the JV team for the rest of the week just to be sure he's 100% before rejoining the varsity team on the 18th.

Pulled the camera out again today to take more pics of Cooper - what can I say, he's a willing subject!

Managed to get Chase to join him for one:

Then Jordan & Jesse got hime from a wedding and agreed to take some shots for me too!

and one last photo of Luke & cooper sleeping in the middle of the floor --- again!
