It's my day to post today over on the Scrappin' Sports & More Blog.  But I wanted to share this post with my family and friends here on my blog too for those that don't follow the scrapbooking world!

This is Jordan's final season of college soccer.  It seems like just yesterday that she was 4 years old and tripping over her feet when she ran.  The doctor suggested putting her in soccer where she would have to keep the ball at her feet when she ran.  Who could have guessed that that would be the start of 17 amazing years of soccer. Soccer has been part of our lives for almost 18 years and now we are 2 months away from this chapter in our lives coming to a close.  I can't even imagine that there will be no more games.  No more butterflies in my stomach as she takes the field.  No more private celebrations every time she makes an amazing save.  No more instant prayers when she collides with another player.  I will no longer be the mother of the keeper.  No one envied me that role, but I reveled in it.  I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Here is a layout from last year's season.  She played amazing and was awarded some great honors.  This year is starting out no different.  Already this preseason, she has been the Defensive Player of the Week for her conference twice.  I can't wait to watch every single game.  I won't miss one minute.

These perfect papers are all from the Scrappin' Sports and More Collections!  Be sure to head on over to their blog today and leave me some love!

Back to School Chaos..

Actually, there has been no back to school chaos!  I have all the paperwork and online requirements already completed for the whole school year and my meeting with the counselor is tomorrow!  There are no classes scheduled this week or next while all the families at the resource center go through orientation, so it's actually very quiet around here!  Mix that with the stomach flu that has gone from one male to another in our house and it all makes for some scrappin' time for me!

What makes it even stranger is that I have had no pressing assignments to scrap, so I pulled out some goodies that I have been stashing away and had some fun mixing and matching them all together without worrying about spotlighting any particular product or company!

So just for fun, here you go:

This one is a photo of David back in the day and I love it because my Uncle Bud was his coach!  This is a mixture of My Mind's Eye and Basic Grey!

This one is mostly Echo Park products --- perfect for these fun photos I found on Austin's facebook page:

Enjoy!  I am in countdown mode till Saturday when Tom, Angie & Emma arrive for a visit!  WhooHooo!

Oh yeah ---- check out this article ---- that's my daughter they are taking about!

Biker Dudes...

David & the boys attend a Father/Son Bible study once a month together and they always try and do something fun to illustrate the lesson for the evening...last night was no exception!

They BBQ'd burgers and then went dirt biking!  Their lesson was all about the balance between having fun and prioritizing the disciplines of life and faith.  What a great way to learn! I'm thankful for the opportunities that they have to be together in the Word.  Praise the Lord.

A Bird's Life

There is a brand new kit today over at Dixie Pieces!

Isn't that fun?  Here are the details:

The September Dixie Pieces kit, called "A Bird's Life" transitions us from summer into fall with bits of summer sky blues, oranges and yellows which flow into the greens and golds of fall.  "A Bird's Life" flies away from the conventional and into the whimsical; it's perfect for capturing your summer or fall memories.  You'll find your favorite manufacturers here -- American Crafts, Bazzill, Basic Grey, Lily Bee, and Maya Road; plus a new one for Dixie Pieces, Harmonie from Montreal.  We can't wait to see what you create with this kit!
