Dare I Say Summertime?

The weather is sunny and 80 degrees today, feels truly like summer.  I say that with a bit of hesitation because I would love for this summertime weather to stick around all week while we are at the Canal.  I'm hoping that we truly get that lucky! But, this year, you can never tell from one moment to the other.

Here is another layout that I completed for the Urban Scrapbooker - it is the Sweet Summertime Collection from Little Yellow Bicycle --- seems appropriate that I share it with you today!

It was the perfect summer day complete with an amazing baseball game.  Austin pitched a complete game today, leading his team to a 10-4 win to keep them undefeated in this week's tournament.  He went 3 for 3 at the plate, struck out at least 8 batters and only walked one.  He even laid down the perfect bunt just to the right of the pitcher who couldn't field it in time to throw him out.  Great summertime game for sure!

Yes, sweet summertime indeed.

Non-stop Rain...

...okay, it's July 26th and today I woke up to torrential rainshowers for the second straight day.  It's extrememly hard to make summer time plans when you can't count on the weather!  In fact, we have a baseball BBQ tonight!  Okay, enough of the whining...

I have been able to get some scrappin' time in since we are stuck in the house --- so I guess there is a silver lining behind those clouds! The next couple of layouts were created for my LSS, the Urban Scrapbooker and use some of the latest releases from We R Memory Keepers.

The Friends Furever Collection:

The Travel Light Collection:

Have fun today!

Scrappin' Away....

I always come home from CHA with renewed energy and mojo!  This year was no exception...lucky for me that Brooke at the Urban Scrapbooker had some fun product for me to play with!  I was especially excited to get ahold of the new Authentique products...they were a big hit at the show this year!

This page/card set was created with their BLISSFUL Collection -- isn't that yellow and grey yummy together?

and here are a few closeups for you:

The new lines are even more fabulous!  I love the embellishments that coordinate --- and that 12 x 24 sheet is brilliant!  So thankful to see some new companies emerging in the scrapbook industry!

Don't forget that you can pick up all the new Authentique products at the Urban Scrapbooker if you are local!

It was toasty both inside and outside the convention center at CHA this week!  The outside temp in Chicago was pushing 100 degrees with a heat index of almost 115 degrees!  WOWZERS...we did our best to stay inside and avoid the heat! As for inside the convention center, the air conditioning was working, but all the scrapping products were HOT too!  There were so many great new releases -- my wish list is literally 2 pages long!

Checking out all the goodies was great, but my favorite part is always touching base with old friends and making new ones!  This trip was no exception!

So thankful for some time together with the Reminisce Team - Cindy, Shelly, & Lynne.....would love to get together more often!

Meeting Debbie was definitely a highlight of the show...she is such a sweet lady!  She has a wonderful store on the east coast and is lucky enough to have my friend Lynne working for her!

Speaking of Lynne --- she has a special place in my heart.  I'm thankful for the opportunity to meet her in the middle of the US for a visit!

Here we are with Sherry & Brenna --- the Dixie Pieces crew!

Throughout the show, I was lucky enough to meet Stacy ---

visit with Kimber---

meet Lori from Scrappin' Sports & More ---

say hello to Dawn ---

and get to know the crew from Simple Stories!

and Jodi:

The Simple Stories booth was the highlight of the show...their products were amazing and it was such an honor to see my creations up in the booth!

I'm going to try and get some of my product photos uploaded and on the blog in the next day or two....maybe even a little giveaway!

Heading to Chi-Town!

Leaving for Chicago tomorrow --- Can't wait to hang out with Sherry and see all the new scrapbooking goodies!  There is just something about being at the tradeshow to renew my spirits and get my creative mojo back on track!  I should return on Saturday all ready to create!

I have one layout to share that I created for a Crate Paper challenge and then completely missed getting it uploaded by the deadline....that has just been my life lately! The wonderful sketch:

These are a couple of cards I created for the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Contest:

Enjoy your week everyone, see you on Friday!

Praise the Lord!

I'm not sitting in the courthouse right now on jury duty!  I was scheduled to serve the rest of this week starting today in group #4.  When I called to check in last night, the recording said, "All those in groups 1,2,3 & ..........6, report for duty!  Why they skipped group #4 I will never know, but be forever grateful!

I have so much going on and jury duty was going to create major issues for me!  Though, I was looking forward to being involved in all the legal junk...sounds interesting.  Anyway....on to funner things like CHA Product Announcements!
