Precious Pastels

That is the name of the June Kit over at Dixie Pieces! Once again, it is filled to top with fabulous papers, embellishments, and scrapbooking goodness.

Just look at all that stuff! Do you see that transparency sheet? It's flocked! All those flowers, butterflies, brads and alphabets, WOW! Make sure you put it on your calendars to head over to Dixie Pieces on June 1st and order your kit before they are all gone!

Here are a few of my creations! You can check out all the inspiration in the Design Team gallery that goes live on June 1st!

A Brand New Company!

I'm in love. No, really in love. There is a brand new scrapbooking company that just released their first collection and it's over the top FANTASTIC! I know I love almost all scrapbook supplies --- but it is rare that I fall in love with a brand new company right off the bat! Well, Echo Park is the exception! Their first collection, Sweet Summertime, just hit the stores and it is flying off the shelves! It is amazing! Twelve different 2-sided heavy weight papers and 2 different 12 x 12 sticker sheets full of sunshine!

A Walk Down Memory Lane has it all!

Baby Book

I made a little mini book this weekend using pictures of me from 1965-67. Just a cute, simple little book using some amazing October Afternoon Products from the Store at A Walk Down Memory Lane, Ducks in a Row. A little birdie told me that October Afternoon might just be the Manufacturer of the Month at the store in June!

Countdown Mode

82 hours and counting down till I get to set eyes on my granddaughter for the first time! I am beyond excited! Okay --- so, I'm excited to see Tom & Angie too --- but the thought of hugging little Miss Emma just makes my heart happy today. I've been in a funk for the last few days but today I woke up totally focused on their visit and my day has been all smiles so far! So thankful for the fun distraction from every day life. I'm sure I will have an overload of pictures to share with you --- well, if I can stop playing with her long enough to snap any!

I had a great weekend of scrappin' and visitin' last weekend. Just something about being with Tami & Sherry that makes my heart happy. I got tons of stuff done and I will be sharing it here through out the next week. I am scheduling all the blog posts so that I can concentrate on my family while they are here. If anyone needs me --- you can find me on Facebook or via email! Love ya!!

I had so much fun with this layout! Seeing Miss Emma with a boo boo that I couldn't kiss was so heartbreaking for me! This little post it note from Dr. Seuss was perfect! You can find this new collection from Making Memories in the store over at A Walk Down Memory Lane - it's called Pitter Patter!

Heading Out ...

...for the weekend. Thankful for the chance to take a break and hang out with some good friends that just understand the need for a quiet break in a hectic life. Of course, there will be some scrappin' involved! Leavin' everyone to do their own thing -- baseball, poker, a wedding shower --- yep, everyone will be crazy busy while I am sitting in the recliner watching "GREASE" on the ocean. Life is sweet.

Completed a fun layout for the Anything Goes sketch challenge over on the My Mind's Eye blog. Here is what I came up with:

brotherly love

You all have a fantastic weekend - take a cue from me and find a way to relax!

Two Page Layout!

No way! I never do 2-page layouts! Right? Well, I stepped outside my box this month for my project 12 layout!

Scrapbook & Cards Today sketch designer, Becky Fleck, created another fabulous sketch for our April pictures. It just so happened that I had the perfect pics from our Easter Egg Hunt with the Nehr's in Hood Canal! So, here you go --- the one and only 2-page layout I will probably do all year!

Making a Big Splash!

Imaginisce is creating quite a SPLASH these days with both their new paper collection, Splash Dance and their brand new tool, the i-rock! I have to admit that I was skeptical at first about another tool to add bling to your layouts. BUT --- all my doubts have flown out the window! I spent all weekend playing with this fun tool! It is so simple to use and they have created so many different types of gems to use with it! My absolute favorites are the pearls:

Ride the waves

Splash Dance Card Set

Cooper's Sand Box

Adding those fun studs to my layouts only took seconds! I even added a bling flower to my sewing machine to spice it up! This tool allows you to add metallic studs and traditional bling to almost anything - your art, your clothes, your cell phone --- name it and you can jazz it up!

Did you check out the fun sanded alphas on the Cooper layout? That is the Core'dinations Cardstock! They were so generous to send us all some of their fabulous product to work with. I love that the different colors show through with just a bit of sanding! You can see it around the edges of the alphas and around the edges of the layout. It was tons of fun to work with!

Imaginisce is an amazing company and their generosity is top notch. It was through them that I learned about a wonderful organization which supports moms who have tragically lost a child. That organization is Mother's of Angels. They are a support group that encourages mothers to could get together for support, encouragement, and scrapbooking therapy. The best part of their group is that all the supplies come from donations from scrappers like you and me! That's where Imaginisce has stepped up! Please take a moment and head over to the blog and read all about these amazing women -- even better -- send in some of those extra scrapbooking supplies you have laying around!

Garage Sale Find

I haven't been garage saleing in months and I really miss it --- I decorate my whole house by hitting garage sales, rummage sales and thrift stores. I was passing a garage sale on my way to pick up Austin from practice on Saturday and I had a few minutes, so I stopped. I scored!

school desk

Isn't that perfect? I just had to have it. None of the kids will fit in it anymore but it is a great reminder of all the homeschooling we have done over the years (and have left to do) and it is distressed red! You all know that that is perfect for my decor! Best of all, it was only $15. I love it.

Turns out the lady that was selling it was a homeschooler too and we chatted for over 15 minutes. Oops --- I was late picking Austin up and he had already started walking!

Walkin' Down Memory Lane

A Walk Down Memory Lane is overflowing with new products in their store! In fact, there is over new products to choose from and she is getting new shipments every day!

Most of you know that I am a Basic Grey Fanatic and their new line, Green at Heart is no exception! A Walk Down Memory Lane has it all and it's going fast!

I'd love to have you play along with me! My sample is the second layout above in this post!

One last fun thing to share with you about A Walk Down Memory Lane - the second manufacturer of the month is stamp maker, Stampavia! They make some adorable stamps that you just need to get your hands on! They are all 25% off this month in the store!

Fun Design Team Call!

Nikki Sivils is having a DT Call and you still have plenty of time to apply! You can find all the info here on her blog. I had the pleasure to meet her at CHA last January and she is amazing - full of energy, happiness, and wonderful ideas!

Here are a few things I created this week using the Willow Bee Collection and the Will He B the 1? Collection:

Lots of fabulous Mother's Day fun for me today! Woke up to sweet homemade cards, poems, notes and flowers. Enjoyed breakfast and then crawled back into bed and slept till 10:30! After the kids got home from church, we all piled in the car and headed for a family fun day at the local bowling alley! It's always so fun to have everyone together --- lots of laughter, lots of friendly jabs, lots of excitement and lots of competition!

Lots of photos - here you go:

Jordan bowled the high game of all of us and went away with our makeshift trophy:

After bowling we went back to the house for a BBQ -- Traves whipped up some fabulous hamburgers and Jordan made it a bit healthier with some grilled aspargus and steamed veges. Totally yummy!

After dinner, so competitive ping pong and bocce ball:

Of course -- Cooper hung out with everyone too:

A big shoutout to David for making sure my day was full of my favorite thing - stressfree time with my kids. The only thing missing was Tom, Angie and Emma --- but the countdown is on until they get to Washington for vacation --- 3 weeks and counting.
